I posted all of this work in 2006, with no idea or hopes that anyone would ever be able to enjoy my writing. I hoped for critique and self improvement. I hoped to find that I was not alone on the emotional rollercoaster of life.

I wrote these poems in middle school and early high school years to express the depression and feeling utterly lost that I was experiencing. Many have similar feelings growing up.

I hadn't logged into the site for years, when one day I was bored and I did. Only to find out that my "Is it love?" had blown up - been favorited and commented on more times than I ever thought possible.

To everyone who has enjoyed my work and supported me with kind words... I want to say thank you. If you were able to relate or understand, submitting these teen works has been worthwhile. It is impossible for me to reply to each and every comment, but I truly want to say thank you, it put a smile on my face and the fact that to this day...almost 7 years later, people are still enjoying a work I didn't even consider one of my best.

To everyone who says it is not art, required no thought, and that it's on a middle school level... you may be right. It certainly did require a bit of time and thought, who are you to say what went through my mind? It may not be art and I did indeed write it in middle school. But, I never claimed to be an artist. I was simply sharing on a website designed for just that... if you want real literary art, go buy a PUBLISHED work. I'm only glad that I did not read these comments when I was a child, for they truly may have hurt my feelings. You hipsters are real cool for insulting a child behind your computer screen.

On another note, I want to encourage all deviants to keep writing. Practice always equals improvement, and writing is good for the soul. Something I do for myself and not others. I am more into journaling as well as journalism type writing. I am almost finished with school, hoping to be a reporter next year when I graduate.
